Incorporation
ARAG USA was originally founded in 1973 as a division of Midwest Mutual Insurance Company and began creating, marketing and administering a new group legal product. In 1989, ARAG purchased the organization and created ARAG Insurance Company.


Growth and development
ARAG is a leader in legal insurance. We connect people with affordable, professional legal help. ARAG partners with attorneys to provide essential legal services ranging from writing your will to representing you in a lawsuit. ARAG also offers additional services including identity theft protection and recovery, caregiving solutions, financial counseling and tax assistance.

Our plans cover more legal issues and pay 100 percent of Network Attorney fees for most covered matters. ARAG is proud to receive significant national recognition for customer service excellence, most recently being named a BenchmarkPortal Top Contact Center – Small Centers Category.

ARAG was also named a Top Workplace in the United States in 2021 with honors in the Financial Services sector.
