Android KitKat 4.4.4 Update Details for Samsung Note 3, Galaxy S5, S4

It's been almost two months since Google rolled out the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update, and already details regarding a Samsung Galaxy Android 4.4.4 have been disclosed.

The Android 4.4.3 KitKat update turned up with several bug fixes intended for squashing problems with the Android 4.4.2 KitKat. In addition, the 4.4.3 update featured superficial modifications related to the dialer and the stock People application.

After some time, Google also rolled out Android 4.4.4 KitKat, which was a small update containing only one security fix for OpenSSL vulnerability. Initially, the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update was just confined to the Nexus smartphones and tablets from Google's lineup, but later it was available for some non-Nexus smartphones.

Currently, Sony and Motorola are in the midst of considerable Android 4.4.4 KitKat roll outs. In addition, HTC is also introducing a new Android 4.4 KitKat update to its HTC One M7 and HTC One M8. However, rather than rolling out Android 4.4.4 KitKat, HTC is pushing out Android 4.4.3 KitKat, which has the security fix implemented within it.

While the tech companies mentioned above have been releasing Android 4.4.3 KitKat and Android 4.4.4 KitKat update information, the two largest Android device manufacturers - LG and Samsung have kept quiet. In fact, this silence has started wearing on Samsung Galaxy users, who have been facing problems with Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

In reality, problems related to Android 4.4.2 KitKat keeps plaguing Galaxy S5, Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note 2, and Galaxy S3 users. Among others, Verizon's forums detail a variety of Android 4.4.2 KitKat problems.

People using Galaxy Note 2 are complaining about charging issues and hang ups, while Galaxy S3 users are pointing to the issues related to battery life and other bugs. On the other hand, Galaxy S5 users are running into random reboots. Similarly, Galaxy Note 3 users are facing a wide range of Android 4.4.2 KitKat problems, while Galaxy S4 users are whining about texting issues and other bugs.

Hence, it is only natural that Galaxy owners have been seeking bug fixes. As the Android 4.4.3 KitKat and Android 4.4.4 KitKat are the ones that will do the trick, Galaxy owners have been looking for details about a roll out. Luckily, news finally broke about a Samsung Galaxy Android 4.4.4 KitKat update, but it has yet to be released.
