Romantically Apocalyptic Webcomic
by Vitaly S Alexius
Charles Snippy finds himself lost and alone at the end of the world. He makes a wish for a friend and meets Zee Captain, an eccentric lunatic luminary, who drags him on an adventure through the eldritch, deadly, questionable and limitless post-apocalyptic world of tomorrow, a place where Goodness makes the rules and everything has purpose and passion.
~A post-apocalyptic, dark comedy webcomic that I've been working on since 2005 by myself at first and then with friends from all around the world.

I have been in love with this since day one.
It's my happy place 🤩
...which, in retrospect, might perhaps should be concerning to me, but I refuse to be concerned about such things.
So, read and get lost in this gorgeous, confusing, funny, post-apocalypse place with me. We can be besties. Hands off my coffee mug.
This webcomic has my favourite worldbuilding in all media i know. Found this years ago, and it persists as the top spot, even if i found some other amazing works in the meantime. Not to mention that Vitaly constantly updates and tweaks what is already there. For example, it used to have some pacing issues, which were neatly ironed out!
TL;DR: R E A D T H I S
i had read the old rom.ac and had a blast, but after a long time witouth updates i forgot about it. coming back to this new and improved version, lets me see that even in the first, very chaotic, very random chapters many of the larger ideas, plot twists and time related shenanigans where there all along, some setups taking over 80 chapters to click in. very good story, probably some of the best art i have seen (it is my wallpaper) would recomend but i dont think its for everyone
solid 5/5
It was in the late 00's when I first stumbled upon the original version of RA. This was back in the hey day of DeviantArt (and Gaia Online) and all those classic sites where edgy anime nerds congregated and showed off their 9000 year old kitsune vampire original characters. It was a wild time back then. And nobody was really that trope savvy.
Then RA plowed through the scene with a level of passion I've never seen before. You can tell the team that worked with Vitaly on this humongous craft wanted to do something you'd never seen before. And that doesn't usually work out well. But Vitaly and his team proved that you can be innovative and still appeal to a lot of readers.
For me, the images pop with such vibrancy and creativity, it's surprising that they were done as photos using green screen. And I appreciate the length they went to take pictures around the world.
The story is good. Just read it for yourself and you'll be held for a long time.
Ze Captain and Snippy make for a wonderful duo. And the Grammar and style are smooth, snappy, and easy to read.
As someone whose read this before. It's treat to see this again with a modern update.
This is my first time reading RA as I generally stay away from post apocalyptic stories due to the hopelessness I feel when I read them. But this has been a wonderful story so far. The art is beautiful and the characters bring life the a desolateed landscape.
The style is a curious mix of text and images, like a mix between a web comic and a web novel. It fits the story well. The author knows what he's doing.
The story draws you in making you curious and even laugh at certian points. And if the author can make me laugh I'll forgive a lot of mistakes, not that this story has any as far as I can tell.
I did not notice any grammar mistakes. And the colored texts was fun. It must have been difficult to format and I'm impressed that the author took the time to do that.
The characters make this story what it is. They are well thought out and described in details that immerses you into the world. Of the two characters you driest meet, one feels solid while the other is delightfully confusing as a foil. Visually, the author's character designs are appealing—being fun and unique.
This is a review swap. I actually don't write reviews often because of how bad I am at writing them. 🤣 as I'm sure you can tell. But being able to review a story like this that is basically part of internet history and has been around for almost two decades was awesome.
i have been following Vitaly's work for the past 10 years it feels like. and i keep comming back either to admire the art or to get reaquainted with the fun characters.
now with the re release, it is better than it ever has been. more lore, more story and MORE art!
i cannot understate how much i reccomend this series. do yourself a favor and read it.
The interconnected web of worlds and words the author has woven is truly one of the best, most toughtprovoking pieces of media I ever had the pleasure of reading.
Incredible art accompanied by a story that on the surface may appear disjointed but is in reality truly connected. If you find yourselves curious about the world of the Good Corporate I also heavily suggest the author's other works.
Read it, it's good
Now, I know it's a bit cliched to give all five stars, but I simply feel that this gorgeous work of art deserves it and then some!
The style is, of course, mind shatteringly magnificent, and not just because it's gorgeous! No, this comic goes above an beyond by having a dazzling array of styles, a collective effort by many artists to bring to life a story richer and more complex than you'd ever expect. And more than a little silly, because silliness is fun and we all need some fun in life.
From spine tingling threats that defy description and have to be seen to be believed, to dizzying depths of absolute buffoonery that is eventually revealedd to have been very sane indeed, this comic just never stops blowing past expectations.
The characters are wonderful. What seems to be flat turns, ever so slightly, and gives you a glimpse of impossibly intricate details that you can't quite make out past the edge of that flat, broad characterization you were greeted with. And eventually, as they turn more and more, you come to realize that their surface level wasn't just hiding untold depths: it was also still accurate. Nothing that is further revealed undermines what was there, knowing the trick of it doesn't ruin the spectacle.
It's just a beautiful comic, from top to bottom, mae by so many passionate people and filled with so very much love that I can't give it anything less than a score that reflects what it is:
Perfect.
I have read the webcomic on the old website and have enjoyed every chapter released with the plethora of art joined along side it and music tracks that acompany some of the chapters. It's a fun story to get into and has a lot of substance to immerse yourself in. Highly recommend it and hope others enjoy it as much as I do. Fantastic work.
This is the most stunning novel I ever saw.
I dont know why its free.
