Raised in Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast – West africa) until the age of 18. Living today close to Brussels- Belgium, my roots and heart still lie in Africa.
My passion for beads started over 15 years ago with ancient and contemporary african beads. I started making and selling jewelry in order to be able to buy more beads.
I graduated as a gemmologist from the HRD (Hoge Raad voor Diamant) in Antwerp. I also took the Rio Rewards PMC certification (Precious Metal Clay) in Orlando- FL with Barbara Becker Simon.
I lost my heart to glass and glass beadmaking in March 2005 during a 2 day introduction course to lampwork beadmaking with Frederic Marey and Nadine Piskaldo. Since then I also took some classes with Jean-Pierre Baquère, Kristina Logan,Larry Scott and Kate Fowle Meleney. I keep learning every day...
Since 2012, I have been exploring other techniques in Glass: fusing, casting, glass blowing.
