2013 MET Gala - you know, when I heard Beyoncé was named co-chair for the event, I went nuts. I knew she would deliver on the red carpet. Again. And she did. Wearing a customed Givenchy S/S 2013 FIRE skirt and a tight leather corset, she had the red carpet for herself as she arrived for this incredible event, THE event of the season. Adding matching gloves and boots, she really outshined everyone (except maybe Sarah Jessica Parker who looked A-MA-ZING!). Well done Beyoncé, WELL DONE!

MRS. CARTER SHOW

Now that the tour has been on the road for about two weeks, tell us which one of the ten costumes is your favorite in the comments section!

MRS. CARTER SHOW - Grown Woman in Paris : Beyoncé surprised the world and her French audience when she gave the very first performance of her new song Grown Woman towards the end of her (incredible) show. Mrs. Carter and her talented dancers were wearing costumes designed by KENZO! Thank you for the surprise, King B!

MRS. CARTER SHOW - TOUR BOOK : and when you thought this era could not get any better, these pictures from Beyoncé’s new tour book are published and you are slayed. Again. Mrs. Carter shows off her perfect figure in a Julien MacDonald A/W 2013 silver gown. The cuts out on the sides are just everything. ESPECIALLY on Beyoncé.

Q

amateurimagineer asked:

Who designed the new costume in Croatia?

A

Which one? :-) I’m posting sketches and designers for every outfit, hope it’ll help!

MRS. CARTER SHOW - David Koma and his outfitDavid Koma created some saucy, custom onstage ensembles for the star and her backup dancers. “We looked at musical instruments as art objects, and the print is a French horn,” said the designer during a chat at the London Showrooms yesterday. The costumes, which were influenced by Koma’s vinyl-record-inspired Fall 2013 collection, feature gold and black printed silk jersey bodices and slick, laser-cut patent leather peplums. “She usually goes for something body conscious and different,” said Koma, who’s worked with the singer since 2009. “And she likes to look strong and sensual at the same time. I mean, come on, she’s Beyoncé!” Take a peek at Koma’s sketches and inspiration board. Source : Style.com

Mrs. Carter Show - Sketches by The Blonds

  • Phillipe Blond: “Our original inspiration came from Tamara de Lempicka’s paintings of the female body.  It is also meant to give the illusion of being covered in crystallized honey.
  • David Blond:  “To start, Phillipe hand-painted the suit on Beyonce to achieve the correct shading.  Then the piece was hand embroidered with approximately 30,000 Swarovski crystals that took over 600 hours to apply.”

MRS. CARTER SHOW - Sketches from Peter Dundas + footware!

MRS. CARTER SHOW - Beyoncé kicked off her tour last night and throughout the show she changed her outfit 10 times! Going from a Ralph & Russo mini white dress to a black bodysuit by Givenchy, a gold The Blonds leotard. A very couture orange gown was designed by the Israeli Alon Livné. But that was far from it. She also rocked four outfits designed by Peter Dundas (Emilio Pucci) such as a leather coat and hat, a shiny black leotard, a green leopard leather dress and a short bodysuit to end the show. Sketches of those outfits to be posted later :-) David Koma also designed a black and yellow leather bodysuit / skirt which I LOVED. But my favorite outfit of the night has to be the sparkling blue bodysuit which shows Beyoncé’s perfect body (designed by Vrettos Vrettakos). This concert was amazing on every aspect : staging, music and fashion were ON TOP. Shoes were provided by Tina Knowles and Stuart Weizman.
