Marion Kreike

Marion Kreike (°1973) started her musical studies at the local academy, and started out soon at the notorious Lemmens Institute, Leuven.

At first, she learned to play the clarinet, but soon, her real love goes to singing. What eventually will dominate her musical career.

At the royal conservatory for Music, the “Koninklijk Vlaams Muziekconservatorium van Antwerpen”, she mastered for music and classical concert singer, in the class of Mme. Bernadette Degelin.

Afterwards, she followed masterclasses with famous pedagogues such as Gerda Hartmann, Gidon Saks, James Grifith, Louis Devos and others.

Several well-known conductors as there are Louis Devos, Jos Van Immerseel, Hervé Niquet, Johan Duijck, Laszlo Heltay, Erik Van Nevel en Kaspars Putnins regularly work with Marion Kreike. Her repertoire extends to most important style periods.

Marion Kreike also is appreciated for her recitals with Lied and Chamber Music.

One of her latest achievements is two concerts singing the role of Orphée in the French version by Berlioz of Orphée et Eurydice (W.von Glück).
