Roberto Carlos: Danilo can be like Dani Alves, rather than Cafu
Roberto Carlos says that new Real Madrid signing Danilo can be compared to Dani Alves, but not Cafu.
The former Los Blancos left-back also spoke to Cope about Gareth Bale being accused of being selfish and the chance that Cristiano Ronaldo might leave the Santiago Bernabeu.
Carlos said on Danilo: "I think he’s a good full-back. I think he’s a lot like Dani Alves.
"To compare him with Cafu is very difficult because he has won many titles and has been the best right-back in history.
"Danilo is a very good, complete full-back. He defends well and attacks well.
"I think Madrid have made a great signing because he has much quality. He adapts to things very easily and I’m sure he’ll do well."
Meanwhile, Carlos spoke about the two most expensive players in history, in Bale and Ronaldo.
On the Welshman he said: "Is he a ball hog? I played with Rivaldo for Brazil and thought the same, and he helped me win 15 titles. Bale doesn’t have too many defensive characteristics."
Carlos also thinks that Ronaldo will not be going anywhere quickly.
"He is happy in Madrid, and I think that he will only leave when his contract expires," explained the former left-back. "It’s very difficult for Florentino to let him go."
