Northland
Mainly fine with high cloud.
Auckland to Waitomo and the central high country, also Coromandel and Bay of Plenty
Fine and cloudy periods. A few showers, clearing tomorrow afternoon.
Gisborne, Hawke's Bay and Wairarapa
Areas of cloud and the odd shower clearing this evening. Fine at first tomorrow, but cloud spreading north again from late morning with the chance of a shower.
Taranaki to Wellington
Cloudy periods developing overnight.
For all the South Island apart from Clutha, Southland and Fiordland
Generally fine. A few cloudy areas about the east and west coasts, with a possible shower there tomorrow.
Clutha, Southland and Fiordland
Cloudy periods. The odd shower about Fiordland and the south coast, clearing tomorrow afternoon.
Chatham Islands
Showers, some may be squally with hail and southwest gales tomorrow.

Tuesday
North Island: Cloud increasing in the far north also east, with isolated showers developing. Mainly fine elsewhere.
South Island: Mainly fine. Areas of early cloud in the east.
Wednesday
North Island: Cloudy in Northland with a few showers. Mainly fine elsewhere, but isolated showers in Gisborne.
South Island: Fine weather.
Thursday
North Island: Rain spreading south to central parts of the Island, but mainly fine about the lower parts.
South Island: Mainly fine, but a few showers likely about the Kahurangi National Park and Stewart Island.
Friday
North Island: Scattered showers for northern half, but mainly fine elsewhere.
South Island: Mostly fine, but a few showers in the far south.
Chatham Islands
Showers and gale southwesterlies easing on Tuesday. Remaining showers clearing early Wednesday but remaining cloudy periods. A few showers developing overnight Thursday.
