A blog to archive and showcase the prevalence of certain ways women are depicted in illustrated pop media, such as how women are posed, drawn, distorted, and/or sexualized out of context, often in ridiculous ways that sacrifice storytelling.
I’ve included the other picture for comparison because her breasts are much more obvious in that one due to the clothing, but it’s otherwise the same pose. I don’t know what she’s doing in the first picture, but I think we might have startled her while she really has to go to the bathroom.

Everything about the pose looks so awkward, even the arms. I guess she’s supposed to be running away while fighting but it just looks like she’s about to unleash the wind jutsu stored up from the Taco Bell she ate last night. Or whatever the Taco Bell equivalent in Fire Emblem is.
It doesn’t even look like she’s twisting her back to do the boobs and butt pose. It just looks like her torso is coming out of the side of her pelvis. D:

It’s been 2 weeks so it’s time to choose the May caption contest winners!
I got a lot of entries this month and they were all really excellent. One of the entries by zombiemollusk even edited the text into the text bubble (the image attached to this post). So it was hard to choose winners. Because of all the entries, I decided to choose 3 winners and 2 runner ups. .
Each winner will get to choose a prize if they wish (but you don’t have to, you can just participate for fun too.) The prizes are extra Steam codes that I’ve acquired through bundles over the years and I figure that giving them out for contests would be fun.
