Aloha Style Polynesian Dance strives to share our passion and knowledge of Hawaiian and Tahitian culture and contribute to the preservation and perpetuation of traditional Hawaiian hula and ‘ori Tahiti. Our goal is to create a friendly and respectful environment to learn each dance, the meaning behind the motions, and to show the beauty of the two cultures dances to our community.

Traditional Hawaiian Hula and ‘Ori Tahiti dance lessons. All skill levels—ages six through adult.

Polynesian dance has many benefits. Providing for both spiritual and physical wellness — improving the strength, flexibility and balance of the whole individual. The graceful hand motions and the concentration on the words or rhythm of the song encourage focus. It’s a great way to unwind after a long day.

Hele Mai! (Stop By!) It’s time to dance!

Lauren and Stephanie started as students at Aloha Style Polynesian Dance in Pennsylvania and learned from the founders, Suzanne Aumack and Connie Majka. They eventually performed in shows and helped to teach classes in hula and ‘ori for Aloha Style.

In 2019, Suzanne and Connie generously passed the torch to Lauren and Stephanie. Together, they have carried on Aloha Style’s mission to create a place where one can share the passion and the respect for the Hawaiian and Tahitian cultures and dance.

Lauren and Stephanie are members of Hālau Hula ‘O Nāpunaheleonāpua under the guidance of Kumu Rich Pedrina based in O’ahu, Hawai’i  where they continue to broaden their knowledge in ‘oli (chanting), pa’i (drumming), hula kahiko (ancient hula), and hula ‘auana (modern hula).

Stephanie also continues to increase her knowledge of ‘ori tahiti (tahitian dance) under the guidance of Kanani Lokelani Asuega based in southern California.

Lauren and Stephanie are grateful for the guidance they receive from Kumu Rich, his Alaka’i, and Kanani Lokelani, and for the camaraderie that has grown with their global hula sisters of Hālau Hula ‘O Nāpunaheleonāpua, global ‘ori Tahiti sisters of Pupu Here and their local and extended Aloha Style ‘ohana.
