Matthew 19:21 - It'd be interesting to figure out the inspiration for charismatic prosperity churches when this verse would seem to contradict their concentration. When megachurch leaders zoom around in private jets and live in 8-figure mansions, it is clear they're not trying to attain the sort of perfection Jesus had in mind.

When asked about her massive wealth and the purchase of a rather expensive personal jet, Christian Charismatic speaker and author Joyce Meyer basically stated that she shouldn't have to apologize for being blessed by God. She later traded up to a Gulfstream IV despite her ministries' tax-exempt status being eyeballed by Senate.

Equally as devilish cult leader Kenneth Copeland not only nabbed a Gulfstream V, but two other expensive jets as well. One of which valued at $25M when he acquired it.

Is it safe to presume that the quest of Meyer, Copeland, and all the other prosperity/charismatic leaders is not of divine perfection, but of earthly opulence? They do know they can't take it with them when they're raptured, right? (I guess they don't believe that stuff either.)
